Why Choose Goat Milk Formula?
Goat's milk is an exotic cousin to cow's milk. What does that mean for moms and babies? Let's take a closer look at the differences:
- Easier digestion: Goat milk baby formula is easier to digest as the fatty acids found in goat milk are in shorter chains than those found in cow milk. Moreover, the proteins in goat milk are lower density.
- Less lactose: Goat milk contains 4.1 percent lactose while cow's milk 4.7. Even though it is a small difference, it makes a big impact on baby's digestion if your baby is lactose intolerant.
- Less: allergenic: If your baby is spitting up a lot or has issues with reflux, goat milk formula may be an easier option for them as it does not contain alpha-S1 casein allergen.
- Vitamins & Minerals: Goat milk formula is a great source of vitamin B-12, Vitamin A, Calcium, phosphorous and other minerals.
- Prebiotics: The same prebiotics as mother's milk is found in goat milk formulas to ensure gut health.
- Boosts immune system: Goat milk formula contains a mineral called selenium, which supports the immune system!

Choosing the best goat milk baby formula from Europe can feel overwhelming, so we focused on what would truly support our little one’s comfort and nutrition. We started by comparing two popular options that many parents love: Holle Goat and Kendamil Goat. Holle Goat appealed to us because of its simple, clean ingredients and reputation for gentle digestion. Kendamil Goat, on the other hand, stood out with its creamy whole goat milk and added prebiotics for better tummy support. We noticed that Kendamil’s formulation felt closer to natural digestion, which mattered a lot for our baby’s sensitivity. Holle was still a great choice, especially for parents who prefer very minimal ingredients. But Kendamil seemed to offer a more balanced blend of nourishment and comfort. Our baby responded really well to its texture and smoothness. In the end, we chose Kendamil Goat because it felt like the gentlest, most complete option for our little one’s growing needs.

We first discovered HiPP Dutch Goat and were amazed at how gentle it was on our baby’s tummy. Digestion felt smoother, and we noticed less fussiness after feedings. Sleep became more restful, giving our whole family more peace. Then we tried Kendamil Goat, and its creamy whole-milk base brought a different kind of comfort. Our baby seemed happy with both, though the taste and texture were slightly unique. HiPP Dutch Goat gave us confidence with its probiotics and organic certification. Kendamil Goat reassured us with its palm-oil-free recipe and locally sourced ingredients. Each formula brought something positive to our routine, making the choice feel thoughtful rather than difficult. In the end, we know the best option will be guided by how our baby continues to thrive.

We made the switch to goat milk formula a few months ago after our baby kept having mild tummy issues on cow’s milk formula. The difference was honestly huge! Less gas, softer stools, and a much calmer baby overall. Goat milk proteins are smaller and naturally A2, which makes them easier to digest and closer to what’s in breast milk. We’ve tried both Kabrita and Holle, and both mixed well and tasted mild enough that our baby took to them right away. It’s not necessarily for everyone, but if your baby seems gassy or fussy on regular formula, it’s definitely worth trying a goat milk option.
