How much Kendamil Stage 2 should you buy? Kendamil Stage 2 Formula Mixing Instructions

Sterilize

Begin by washing your hands and sterilizing your equipment and workspace. In order to kill off any residual bacteria that may be in your water, boil 1 liter of water and leave it to cool for up to 30 minutes.

Check Feeding Chart

Read the feeding chart relevant to your specific formula. Depending on your baby's age, add the corresponding water and formula ratios. Use the formula scoop provided inside of your box so as to ensure accurate measurements.

Prepare

Close the bottle with a sterilized cap and shake vigorously until all formula powder has been dissolved and no lumps remain. We recommend placing a nipple cap over the bottle top so as to avoid touching it with your hands.

Check Temperature

Baby formula is ready for feeding when it reaches body temperature (~98°F). You may cool the formula in the refrigerator in order to reach this desired temperature, and you can test the formula on your forearm to make sure it isn't too hot. Use the formula immediately after preparation.

Important Feeding Information

Each baby formula uses different mixing proportions. Only use the scoop that is included in your formula.
Only add water and scoops at the ratios intended by the manufacturer. Do not supplement the milk feeds with any additional ingredients.
Do not prepare feeds in advance. In order to maintain maximum nutritional value, use the feeds immediately and dispose of any leftovers feed.
Once prepared, feed should be used within 2 hours. Prepared formula should not be refrigerated, stored, or reheated in any way, as this could increase the risk of bacterial contamination from sources external to the formula, and storage may cause prepared formula to separate.
Once opened, formula should be used within 21 days. Any unopened formula should not be used after the expiration date printed by the manufacturer on the box.

About Kendamil Stage 2

This nutritionally complete organic baby formula comes from a family-run manufacturer with family-first values. Kendamil Stage 2 has exploded in popularity over the last few years, and it's no wonder given that the formula contains none of the ingredients' you want to avoid, but has all of the organic ingredients that parents are eager to give to their little ones. Kendamil Stage 2 Follow On is appropriate for babies aged 6-12 months, and is the natural transition from Kendamil Stage 1, and the natural precursor to Kendamil Stage 3.

Adhering to highest levels of EU organic certification and overseeing the entire manufacturing operation, Kendamil only uses organic cow's milk from British family farms. Instead of using potentially harmful palm oil, this formula contains all natural coconut oil as a substitute.

The main difference between Kendamil Stage 1 and Kendamil Stage 2 is that this follow on formula changes its whey/casein ratio from 60/40 to 40/60. This change mirrors the natural changes that human breast milk would experience at a similar stage of infant development, and prepares your baby for natural weaning off of breast milk (or in this case, weaning from formula). Additionally, the Stage 2 formula contains less fat and more lactose in comparison to Stage 1.

Kendamil Stage 2 is rich in essential minerals and vitamins C, A, D, as well as nutrients such as natural zinc. This formula also contains prebiotics, ARA, and plant-based DHA that is suitable for vegetarian diets. Kendamil does not use fish oil for DHA extraction and exclusively uses plant based marine algae for its source of DHA (Omega-3 and 6 LCPs). Additionally, Kendamil Stage 1 contains HMO's (Human Milk Oligosaccharides) similar to natural breast milk, which helps build the immunity of your little one.

This formula does not contain any soy, NO PALM OIL, no peanuts, no maltodextrin, no starch, no GMO's, and absolutely no synthetic ingredients. The DHA and ALA are commonly thought to help with brain and eye development. Based on full cream organic cows milk, Milk Fat Globule Membranes (MFGM) which is found in breast milk is also naturally occurring in this formula.
