How much HiPP Comfort should you buy? The estimate for how many units of formula you'll need is based on an assumption that baby formula is the primary source of nutrition within your baby's diet, and takes into account HiPP Comfort packaging and scoop sizes, as well as the HiPP's recommended dosage at each age. Unless stated "per month", the calculation is a total for the entire age bracket. On average, a typical baby uses 5.5 boxes of HiPP Comfort per month, when fed using HiPP's feeding instructions. If you supplement with breast milk or other foods, your calculation may be different. Always follow your pediatricians advice for feeding instructions that are unique to your baby.

Cow's Milk Protein Allergey (CMPA) Disclaimer
This product may not be suitable to be used by children who have beend diagnosed with, or are suspected of having a cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA). HiPP Comfort Formula is a hydrolyzed formula in which cow's milk proteins are broken down by 86-87%, and while many babies with a cow's milk protein allergy may thrive on this formula, it is not suitable for every child with CMPA. Only use this formula under the recommendation, guidance, and supervision of your child's pediatrician.
The definitions of the terms partially hydrolyzed and extensively hydrolyzed vary by country, and there is no global standard for the degree to which milk proteins are hydrolyzed in context of these labels. HiPP Comfort Formula is hydrolyzed by a factor of 86-87%.

Important Feeding Information
- Each baby formula uses different mixing proportions. Only use the scoop that is included in your formula.
- Only add water and scoops at the ratios intended by the manufacturer. Do not supplement the milk feeds with any additional ingredients.
- Do not prepare feeds in advance. In order to maintain maximum nutritional value, use the feeds immediately and dispose of any leftovers feed.
- Once prepared, feed should be used within 2 hours. Prepared formula should not be refrigerated, stored, or reheated in any way, as this could increase the risk of bacterial contamination from sources external to the formula, and storage may cause prepared formula to separate.
- Once opened, formula should be used within 21 days. Any unopened formula should not be used after the expiration date printed by the manufacturer on the box.

HiPP Comfort was designed to be one of the gentlest formulas that is comfortingly delicate on your baby's sensitive stomach. This formula can be used from birth, and because of its special gentle nature is suitable even up through toddler months when your baby has began eating solid foods, well past the 1 year mark. Why is HiPP Comfort so gentle? HiPP Comfort has reduced amounts of lactose that is substituted with an easy to digest vegetable oil blend beta palmitate, providing the same important natural fatty acids that are critical to your baby's early development as you would find in a traditionally lactose-rich cow's milk based formula.
To improve digestion, whey proteins in HiPP Comfort have been hydrolyzed and blended with natural alternative carbohydrates that make for a naturally thick and creamy formula that baby's love the taste of. Additionally, HiPP Comfort contains both prebiotics and probiotics which help your baby develop a healthy natural gut bacteria that can improve and speed up the process of their digestive system's development. Similar to the chemistry of natural breast milk, these same prebiotics and probiotics may also help alleviate some of the root causes of constipation, bloating, gas, and colic.
HiPP Comfort also contains naturally occurring omega-3 and omega-6 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, including DHA and ARA which are thought to be helpful with eye and brain development. This formula is rich in nutrients and essential minerals. You won't find any soy additives, sugar, gluten, corn syrup, synthetic nutrients, or synthetic preservatives in HiPP Comfort.
Organic Life Start works directly with HiPP in Germany to deliver fresh baby formula that has a long expiration date of six months or more. Each shelf-stable can of HiPP Comfort contains 500 grams (17.6 oz) of formula powder, which yields approximately 130 fluid ounces of prepared formula.
Why is this formula not organic? HiPP Comfort contains hydrolyzed milk proteins, which cannot be certified as organic because they aren't available in organic form. All other ingredients in HiPP Comfort are organic.
